Dizzy - Prince of the Yolkfolk App Reviews

If you were born in 80s England, you must have owned or at least played on a ZX Spectrum or Amstrad while growing up. If so, Dizzy was the main game. A little boxing glove wearing, rolling egg who would solve puzzles to help friends. He had 3 lives, if you died then its back to the beginning. Youd spend half an hour loading the cassette to play this (usually before dinner), and youd play for hours to complete it! Anyway, skip forward to now, and Dizzy has arrived in 2011!!! Updated HD graphics, puzzles that will test your mind and fun and laughs to be had. Codemasters has really done good on this remake, so much so, that I hope they remake more past dizzy games and maybe some new adventures too! This will (as in the 80s/ 90s) keep you playing for hours! Keep rolling my eggy friends!

An old classic reborn. If only they made it last longer. Completed it in no time at all :( Please add another adventure, Im feeling a little cheated.

Dizzy is finally on the os! A brilliant move that should have happened ages ago. Fun platformer , that makes u think. Only problem with it, I wish they had the option to toggle between classic and remake features, such as graphics(not that the graphics arent nice), music, lives, and most importantly being able to turn off the awful hint system.

Its a fun game I just wish they could have remade the original or add more levels

Ive found 2 bugs so far. One, if you jump anywhere near the spanner you fall through the floor. Second, you can get trapped near the princess and will never be able to move more than a mm. Ill change the review if they ever fix this. Also I refuse to make a Facebook account so hopefully the devs see this.

1. My Dizzy got stuck near the princess. After failing to pass thru the tree there, I cannot get back to the castle either. Reloading does not help, too 2. The music on The New IPad switches off permanently after going to another task and back

It keeps saying "unable to log into openfeint. Restart to try again".. can someone help me out on this?

I enjoyed this game. It was reminiscent of my childhood playing this on a laptop. I didnt find a bug at my end. The play time is rather short and I dont know if the original game was the same.. its been such a long time ago

On iPad (iOS 5.0.1) it crashes and exits back to home screen right away. Nothing else running in background. So Sad :( Can I get my $1.99 back?

This is the favorite game of my childhood, and I am glad its back. Graphics is great, and you still have that atmosphere from the old game. Controls take some time to get used to, as they are different from what you are used to on a touchscreen device. Great game overral!

It crashes every time with ios 5

Dizzy has a lot of charm. Hard to describe it to those who havent played. It would be nice to have the option of touch anywhere controls similar to Another World on iOS but with holding at the end of a swipe to continue walking and tap for action. Overlay buttons dont detract much from a game like this, though. Im so ecstatic to play more Dizzy I almost went for the egg pun just now. Im on iOS 5.01 iPhone 3GS and its been good so far.

For happy to have Dizzy back after all these years, but the game is unplayable due to a bug. After passing through the castle on the left (I thought you had to lower the drawbridge, but i walked through it anyway), i went to talk to the princess. I went back towards the castle and got stuck on the little island between her and the castle. i can move Dizzy a very small amount, but cant jump Im totally stuck! I would suggest passing on the game until this bug is fixed.

I wait 20 years for this!!! How about port all other parts of this amazing game? Dizzy, Treasure Island Dizzy, Fantasy World Dizzy, etc? Im so happy!!! DIZZY FOREVER!!! P.S. Music is great!

I never really grew up with the Dizzy series but overall I had a good time playing this. That being said I would like to see the original Dizzy on here. Overall nice job.

I wish there was more levels idk, I know there was multiple tasks, but there should be more after that. Its was challenging at times which can be cool and not at the same time haha...
